Aimed at widening youth outreach and engagement, SAFRA connects key government agencies, business organisations, and youth sector organisations in a synergy of youth-oriented programs focused on family, career, and interest-based activities. Leveraging on the strengths, expertise, and resources of our partner agencies, SAFRA acts as an enabler and connector, creating platforms for involvement among young adults (18 – 35 years old).
SAFRA engages young adults by encouraging them to participate in various social activities and community programmes. It also provides opportunities for young adults to pursue their interests, while balancing key life priorities. SAFRA also promotes partnership among Public, People & Private sectors by encouraging collaborations to increase youth outreach and activity participation. It facilitates the flow of resources, information, specialist knowledge, research and best practices.
In our effort to engage the young through an interest event at a national front, SAFRA will be organising the 3rd edition of the PK Challenge 2012, in view of the overwhelming response for the past two years.
PK Challenge 2012 will be co-organised by Hark Music and Jia883 and the event is to take place between July to Sept 2012. The singing competition will span across 3 months, 3 weekends and 2 platforms. Participants will be able to upload their audition clips on the Facebook page for PK Challenge 2012. Selected participants will then be invited down for 1 on-site qualifying round, 1 quarter-final, moving onto 1 semi final and lastly 1 grand final.
Apart from SAFRA members, SAFRA will invite music schools and music enthusiasts in Singapore to reach out to participants aged 18 – 35 years old from across Singapore. Hark Music will lend their support in lending their expertise in judging, technicality and production. Jia883 will undertake the publicity and staging.
