Widely regarded as probably the best melodic power rock band in the world, the three original members of Survivor; Jimi Jamison, Frankie Sullivan, Marc Droubay, along with Billy Ozzello and Walter Tolentino are coming to town to belt their best known hits that made them famous for more than 3 decades. The Survivor World Tour 2012 is stopping over in Singapore on 15 September 2012 for a one-time performance that will rock Singapore.

Formed in Chicago in 1978, Survivor achieved its greatest success in the 1980s with its arena rock sound which garnered many charting singles, especially in the United States. The band is best known for its double platinum-certified 1982 hit “Eye of the Tiger”, the theme song for the motion picture Rocky III (US, UK and Australia #1 for 6 weeks). The song won the band a Grammy Award and was voted “Best New Song” by the People’s Choice Awards, as well as an Academy Award nomination.

Singles like “Burning Heart”, the theme song for the motion picture Rocky IV (US #2), “The Search Is Over” (US #4), “High on You” (US #8), “Is This Love” (US #9) and “I Can’t Hold Back” (US #13) continued to chart through the 80s. Their other memorable official soundtracks include “The Moment of Truth”, from the movie Karate Kid, and “Ever Since the World Began” from the movie Lock Up.
